Art. 1

THE INTERNAZIONAL SCHOOLS FESTIVAL OF MARTIAL ARTS is a not a contest, it is a  Festival open to participants aged 5 to 19 years old of any kind of school of martial arts, association, club, federation, etc. from all over the world.

THE INTERNAZIONAL SCHOOLS FESTIVAL OF MARTIAL ARTS will take place during the 19th edition of GEF – The World Festival of Creativity in Schools, and it is one of the official events of the programme.

The purpose of the Festival is to become aware of the problem of bullying in the school and “fight” every diffusion.


Art 2


The event will be held on Friday 5 May 2017,  in Sanremo Italy,  in an adequate place for the performances. Exact location and time will follow later on.


Art. 3

The school can enter the Festival with any sort of martial art (kata, kumite, mix, other). The performance can last maximum 4 minutes.

Minimum 12 participants for each performance.

Every school can participate with more than one exhibition but with different groups of students. One participant, a student, can only take part in one performance

Signing the entry form you accept the regulations for the  Schools Festival of Martial Arts 2017.

A completed entry form must be submitted and sent (by registered postal letter or courrier) to KISMET – “Schools Festival of Martial Arts” – Via Roma 166 – 18038 Sanremo – Italy (the postmark will be used as proof of date) by the 22ndof February 2017 including:

  • Description of the performance entering the Festival;
  • Sort of Martial Art;
  • Name list, (with each participant’s date of birth) and teachers and other supporters;
  • Proof of payment of a “school’s deposit as a guarantee for expenses” € 250,00. a) The deposit will be deducted from the total amount to pay for the school’s accommodation in Sanremo b) the deposit will be reimbursed to schools not admitted to the finals in Sanremo.

“The School’s deposit as a guarantee for expenses“ will be retained only if the school decide to cancel their participation.

The deposit, “school’s deposit as a guarantee for expenses”, is not refundable if the school will not participate or if the school cancel their participation in the Festival.


Art. 6


Each school, association, club, federation have to insure their own participating students.

GEF’s Organizing Committee, the promoting association and the company providing technical support will not accept any liability for personal or material injuries or accidents occurring while travelling or during the Festival.

Art. 7


A Diploma and a Gadget GEF for every participating school. One representative from each school can come up on the stage to receive their diploma and GEF gadget during one of GEF’s evening contests.


Art. 8

All entrants and each school taking part in the competition finals in Sanremo will undertake to pay for its own board and lodgings.  For reasons of organization and event management, finalists, accompanying adults and/or anyone spending nights in Sanremo while taking part in GEF 2017, will need to stay at least two nights and book through GEF choosing accommodation from our price list (on in order to gain accreditation and be able to take part in the finals. (minimo three nights for schools participating in Theatre or Musical).

Each school admitted to the finals will be sent a booking-form by the booking organization outlining modes of payment.

Considering the thousands of bookings processed during the previous edition of GEF, early bookings are highly recommended.

Each finalist school will be included in the official bilingual catalogue (Italian/English) of GEF.


Art. 9

GEF reserves the right to record and/or film and/or broadcast the event in its entirety or in part, using any medium (print, photography, radio, television, audio-visual, internet, etc.) and to accompany the event with one or more promotion or publicity, without owing any payments to anyone or to any participants.



Any changes to the Festival in Sanremo, which might occur due to technical or administrative reasons will be notified forthwith to the interested parties.



All printed matter and logos are protected by copyright; therefore any unauthorized use is forbidden. Anyone trying to use any of them without authorization will be duly prosecuted.


Art. 12

Anyone taking part in the event is expected to have read and understood the conditions set by these regulations and to accept them unconditionally. Participation to the event also implies that each participant explicitly agrees to allow KISMET / GEF to access its archives and process all personal data provided, according to the Act D.L. n. 196 del 30/6/2003, and admits knowledge of his/her rights as set of the above mentioned Act of Parliament.
